The airport rental, without the airport rental
Most YVR car rentals start at a counter in the parkade, or with a shuttle to a lot off Sea Island. Ours start with a message from us when the car is in position.
Every document that usually slows down a rental, from your licence to your insurance details and deposit, is handled before you fly. At the terminal there is only the car, a short walkthrough of its controls, and the drive.
It works the same way in reverse. Tell us your flight out and we collect the car at departures, so the last thing you do in Vancouver is hand back the keys rather than find a return lot.

Flying private
Arriving through a private terminal
YVR's business aviation traffic uses private terminals on the airport's south side rather than the main building. If you are flying private, give us your operator and arrival time and we plan the handover with you. If you need the flight too, we can arrange that as well.

YVR delivery questions
Do I need to visit a rental counter at YVR?
No. We meet you with the car, so there is no counter, queue or shuttle. Your documents and deposit are handled before you land, so the handover takes minutes.
Where at YVR do we meet?
We agree a meeting point when you book, based on your flight: usually the arrivals level (Level 2) of the Domestic or International terminal, or the YVR parkade if you have luggage to load at leisure.
What if my flight is delayed?
Share your flight number when you book. We follow your flight status and adjust the handover time, so a delay does not cost you the car.
Can I return the car at YVR?
Yes. Tell us your departure time and we collect the car at the airport, usually at the departures level (Level 3), so you can check in without a detour.
Can you meet a private jet at YVR?
Yes. If you are flying private through one of YVR's private terminals, tell us the operator and arrival time and we will plan the handover with you.
Is airport delivery available late at night?
Our support line runs 24/7. Late and early handovers can be arranged when you book; tell us your arrival time and we confirm it in your quote.
