Mid-engine, finally
For decades the Corvette put its engine up front. The C8 moved it behind the cabin, and the result drives like a proper mid-engine sports car: sharp turn-in, huge traction out of corners, and a V8 that sounds better the harder you use it.
It is also easy to live with. Visibility is good for a car this low, the front and rear trunks take a weekend's worth of soft bags, and in its quieter drive modes it is relaxed on the highway.

Roof off, Marine Drive
The roof panel lifts out and stows in the rear trunk, which turns the C8 into the right car for a summer evening along Marine Drive to Horseshoe Bay, or the slow way round Spanish Banks at sunset.
It is at its best from spring to early fall. In the colder months we will suggest whether the Corvette or an all-wheel-drive car suits your dates and plans better.
