What the Yukon XL is like to drive
Behind the wheel it feels substantial but well mannered, with a smooth V8, a ten-speed automatic and a ride that soaks up rough pavement. The high driving position gives a clear view over traffic on Highway 99 and through busy downtown intersections.
Inside, the materials and the quiet cabin feel closer to a luxury car than a utility vehicle, particularly in Denali trim. People rent it for family reunions, wedding parties and work trips where a team needs to travel together. With the third row up, it still behaves like a proper luggage carrier.
Large mirrors and camera views help when you are reversing into a tight parkade space downtown. Most drivers settle in within the first few blocks.

Where to take the Yukon XL
A family ski week in Whistler is where the XL earns its keep, with skis, boots and suitcases behind the third row and everyone seated comfortably. On the way up, the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish makes a good break for the group.
For golf, the cargo area takes several bags for a day at Capilano Golf and Country Club or the University Golf Club near UBC. It is equally suited to collecting colleagues from YVR and bringing them to the Vancouver Convention Centre in Coal Harbour.
Families staying a few days can also head to the beach and pier at White Rock or the sand at Crescent Beach, with room for strollers, picnic gear and folding chairs. It is a relaxed day out with everything you need on board.
Booking the Yukon XL
Have the Yukon XL waiting for you at the YVR curb, or delivered to a hotel or address across Metro Vancouver, with pickup arranged at the end. Extra drivers can share the wheel once we have their licence details.
Bring it back with a full tank or we refuel it at cost, and the refundable deposit is returned once it is checked in good condition. Support is available around the clock by phone or WhatsApp at 778-814-6421.
Booking a day ahead is recommended for a vehicle this size, particularly around holidays, though same-day rentals are possible if it is free. Child seats are available on request in advance.
Yukon XL rental questions
How many golf bags fit in the Yukon XL?
Several full-size bags fit behind the third row, and folding the third row makes room for a group's clubs and luggage together. If you have a specific number in mind, tell us when you book and we will confirm.
How many people can ride in the Yukon XL?
It carries seven or eight people, with the number set by the second-row layout: captain's chairs or a bench. We confirm the seat layout when you book.
What is the difference between the Yukon and the Yukon XL?
The XL is about 38 cm longer, and the extra length goes mostly to cargo space behind the third row. Passenger room is similar, but the XL carries far more luggage.
