Dodge Durango R/T rental in Vancouver

The Durango R/T is the sensible side of the Durango family: a 5.7 L HEMI V8, all-wheel drive and three usable rows, without the extra drama of the SRT models. It is a strong, comfortable choice for families and small groups who want a V8 that feels relaxed on long drives.

Comfortable, capable and V8 powered

The 5.7 L HEMI gives the R/T 360 hp, so merging onto Highway 1 or climbing toward Whistler never feels strained. Steering is light enough for parking but steady at highway speed, and the cabin is quiet once you settle into a cruise.

Second and third rows fold flat, so you can switch between carrying people and carrying gear in a few minutes. Renters often choose it because it handles a family's luggage and still has a satisfying V8 note when pulling away. It is a vehicle you stop thinking about after the first kilometre, which is exactly the point.

A large touchscreen with smartphone mirroring keeps navigation simple on unfamiliar roads. Rear passengers sit high enough to enjoy the views on the Sea-to-Sky.

Getting around Vancouver in the Durango R/T

For a family visiting the city, the R/T works well for a day at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, a walk in Lynn Canyon and dinner back in Kitsilano. All-wheel drive adds confidence on rainy days and on the winding road up to Cypress Mountain.

It also suits a camping or hiking weekend near Squamish, with room for packs, a tent and a cooler. If you want to take it further, for example to the Okanagan, we ask that you check with us first so the trip can be approved.

Families staying near the airport can also use it for an easy day in Richmond, with a walk around Steveston Village and fish and chips by the docks. The drive from YVR takes only a few minutes.

Booking the Durango R/T

We can hand over the R/T at the YVR curb or bring it to your door anywhere in Metro Vancouver. Booking 24 hours ahead gives the most choice, though we can often help the same day if the vehicle is available.

Ask for child seats when you reserve and we will have them ready. A valid licence, your own driving insurance and a refundable deposit are required, with extra coverage options if you want them.

Bring it back with a full tank, or we refuel it at cost. If something goes wrong on the road, our team is on call around the clock and will arrange a repair or another vehicle.
